About

Marina Montero (Zaragoza, 1996) is a freelance illustrator and visual artist based in Spain. Blending traditional and digital techniques, she creates warm, joyful illustrations with expressive, organic lines and rich colour. She often adds a touch of humour to her work, drawing inspiration from the mundane, and aims to connect with audiences of all ages.

Her debut illustrated book, Meccanica Illustrata (Quinto Quarto), won the Premio Andersen for Best Non-Fiction Book and was named to the dPICTUS 100 Outstanding Picturebooks list and the BRAW Amazing Bookshelf. Her work has also earned the Expert Recommended Award (Technology category) at the BIBF International Illustration Awards and a selection for the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition, currently touring internationally.

Marina combines her illustration practice with editorial design, creating layouts for reports, newsletters, and cultural publications.
